# Tax

> Sales tax calculation, nexus monitoring, and 1099 filing integrations that connect DualEntry to third-party tax engines and the IRS.

Tax covers integrations that calculate sales tax on transactions, monitor nexus exposure, and file 1099 forms with the IRS.

* **[Avalara AvaTax](./avalara)**: real-time U.S. sales tax calculation on invoices, sales orders, cash sales, and customer credits.
* **[Kintsugi](./kintsugi)**: a read-only connector that pushes transactions, items, and customers to Kintsugi for nexus monitoring, exemption tracking, and returns.
* **[Tax1099](./tax1099)**: file 1099-NEC, MISC, INT, and DIV forms with the IRS using vendor totals computed in DualEntry, and track acceptance status per form.
