# Multi-Year Ramp Deals

> Model a contract that charges a different rate each year as grouped year performance obligations, and how those obligations behave over time.

A ramp deal prices the same product at a different rate each year of a multi-year contract. DualEntry represents it as one performance obligation per year rather than a single obligation, which is why it behaves differently from a standard renewal in change orders and later amendments.
